Hiyoshi Exhibition

Held at the Kyorosha Event Terrace from December 15–19, 2025, the “Ikoi-no-ba, Hiyoshi” exhibition presented the outcomes of four projects led by the applicant, all aimed at creating designated “resting places” throughout the Hiyoshi Campus.

The featured initiatives included:

Hiyoshi Pavilion (2022): Created outdoor spaces for students and faculty to linger.

Ribbon Terrace (2023): A shading intervention using colorful fabric ribbons to create a vibrant gathering space in the campus courtyard.

Design Workshop (2024): A participatory effort by students and faculty to develop future use concepts for the former Site 5 building.

ECO-SHELTER (2025): Constructed with student participation using timber harvested from the school forest.

The exhibition design itself embodied the project's core values. By fabricating display fixtures from the Hiyoshi Pavilion’s dismantled materials and reusing study models from previous project phases, the exhibition served as a practical educational opportunity focused on waste reduction and student-participatory design and construction.
